Magic Spoon Fruity Cereal 👎🏻

Price:
$8.99 per box (Publix) or $1.28 per ounce.
Thoughts:
Magic Spoon's Fruity cereal has some ingredient choices that aren't the best for the body in my opinion. They use whey protein concentrate instead of whey protein isolate means more fats and lactose, which can cause digestive issues. High oleic sunflower oil is another concern for me due to its potential to promote inflammation from high omega-6 fatty acids. The vague label "natural flavors" can hide a variety of processed additives, which isn’t ideal for those looking for clean eating.
Regarding the flavor, I think they hit it pretty close to the fruit loops we had as kids. It isn’t as strong of a “fruit” flavor but it gets the job done. When I first bit into it, I enjoyed the texture, up until it stuck to my teeth. I definitely had to brush my teeth after my bowl was finished because it wasn’t coming out with water. The best part was definitely the milk when the cereal was all gone.
For the hefty $8.99 price tag, they could’ve used whey protein isolate for higher protein content and better digestibility, and healthier fats like coconut oil. I haven’t tried any other breakfast cereal, so I can’t make any suggestions as of yet.
Did I feel like a kid again eating their cereal? Yea.
Is it “better for you”? I guess.
Would I give it to my son to eat it? No.
Would I recommend you to eat it? Save your wallet and teeth.
